HealthDev.net: A user guide for innovative social networking on HIV and TB In 2008, Health & Development Networks (HDN) began piloting HealthDev.net, an online tool fo r news aggregation, information sharing and social networking on HIV and TB. Utilizing Web 2.0 technology, HealthDev.net is a rapid and interactive user-driven platform. As HealthDev.net grew, it also became the home of HDN’s Key Correspondent (KC) Team, a diverse group of over 200 community writers from over 40 countries, committed to reporting on-the-ground experiences.

The HealthDev.net user guide is designed to support website users and administrators to use the tool to its full potential. Additionally, this guide has been created with the aim to advance the understanding of the potential of Web 2.0 technology to facilitate a more effective response to HIV and TB, informed by the experiences and needs of those who are most affected.
