Ann is responsible for serving the local community. The Local Initiatives Team organizes monthly NGO Forums where local groups meet to discuss topics on HIV and AIDS and associated health and development issues. Ann also oversees the HIV and AIDS Action Centre. Ann's primary role is in building community partnerships.
Ann is an active Committee member of Thai Treatment Action Group (TTAG) and has been a member of Thai Women HIV and AIDS Task Force (TWAT) for the past 3 years. During 2006 Ann travelled to Sri Lanka to attend a regional interfaith conference, where a valuable exchange of ideas took place on how Buddhists, Christians and Muslims can best work together in the field of HIV and AIDS. She is a representative on the Thai NGO Coalition on AIDS (TNCA) which met in Bangkok and Chiang Mai in 2006 to propose a policy on civil society involvement in the National AIDS Plan, which was ultimately submitted to the Thai Government.
Ann believes she is in the process of creating her spiritual life and all the choices she makes are flowing in the best way she can. She feels all others in the world will be affected by her choices and that one choice affects all because we are connected, each and every one. Ann's main hope is that there will be at least one small thing she can do for others.
Ann enjoys singing, travelling and cooking.
