Ian currently acts as Consultant and has previously worked in a number of capacities for HDN since 2000, including Programme Adviser. He has also been a Key Correspondent and Project Manager (for the HIV Stigma Project).
Ian is based at a University in the UK, and has an extensive background in HIV research and education. From a research perspective, he is particularly interested in how HIV is perceived across cultures, and how social organizations generate HIV-related stigma. During his time at HDN, Ian has also been examining the role of international agencies in the fight against HIV, especially in the lead up to the 2006 UNGASS review.
Ian is a keen motorcyclist, and when it isnnnâÂt raining (which in the UK is not often), he enjoys driving at very fast speeds around the hills near his home.
