HealthDev.net: A user guide for innovative social networking on HIV and TB | HDN news

In 2008, Health & Development Networks (HDN) began piloting HealthDev.net, an online tool fo r news aggregation, information sharing and social networking on HIV and TB. Utilizing Web 2.0 technology, HealthDev.net is a rapid and interactive user-driven platform. As HealthDev.net grew, it also became the home of HDN's Key Correspondent (KC) Team, a diverse group of over 200 community writers from over 40 countries, committed to reporting on-the-ground experiences.

eForums on HIV and TB: A toolkit for launching, moderating and managing a high quality eForum | HDN news

eForums are electronic discussion forums for information sharing, networking and dialogue on HIV, AIDS, TB, and related health and development issues. Health & Development Networks (HDN) conceptualised and launched the first eForum in 1996 and since then has established regional, national, and issue-based forums to facilitate more unified, grounded action for change.

Key Correspondent Team: A toolkit for training and supporting community writers to speak their world on HIV and TB | HDN news

Starting in 1998, Health & Development Networks (HDN) created the Key Correspondent (KC) Team. The KC Team is a global network of country-based writers who capture and document the local realities of people most affected by HIV and TB.

From March 2009 onwards HDN produced a range of toolkits to facilitate the effective transfer and continuity of the tools and approaches developed and utilised by HDN since 1998 to other agencies

Key HDN programmes transfer to the Alliance | HDN news

Following the sad news earlier this year that Health & Development Networks (HDN) had lost its core funding, the Alliance has continued to work with HDN colleagues to put a plan in place to transfer key programmes to a range of partners, including the Alliance.

Following the confirmation of arrangements with other partners and donors, the Alliance and HDN are now pleased to confirm which HDN programmes will be transferred to the Alliance over the coming weeks.

HDN continues to ensure that those most affected by HIV have a significant voice - keep up the good work.
