Partners Zimbabwe is an information, dialogue and advocacy platform bringing together country level civil society stakeholders to more effectively respond to AIDS, TB and related issues.

The platform is nationally driven and owned, with six core partner organisations: Zimbabwe AIDS Network (ZAN), Health and Development Networks (HDN), Southern Africa HIV/AIDS Information Dissemination Centre (SAfAIDS), Zimbabwe National Network of Peolple Living with HIV/AIDS (ZNNP+), Women and AIDS Support Network (WASN), and The Centre.

Activities

Partners Zimbabwe is already spearheading information communication exchange and advocacy around HIV and TB through a number of activities and tools. These include: 

Partners Zimbabwe has also facilitated the development of a civil society programming framework on AIDS and TB that can be used for coordinated and strategic actions around key issues.

World AIDS Day 2008 Events in Zimbabwe

World AIDS Day 2008 will be honored with a national commemoration at Chipadze Stadium in the Bindura District. Partners Zimbabwe members, Zimbabwe AIDS Network (ZAN) and the Southern Africa HIV/AIDS Information Dissemination Service (SAfAIDS) have been instrumental in organizing this event. Partners Zimbabwe encourages all of its members to attend the commemoration in support of the greater platform.

HDN and SAfAIDS partner to document home based care projects

Health and Development Networks in partnership with Southern African Information Dissemination Service (SAfAIDS) partnered to document the lessons learned in the implementation of Irish AID funded projects in Zimbabwe. The work involved interviewing organizations involved in home based care as well as the beneficiaries. The overall objective was to gather information which will be used to shape future programming.
